The new multi-functional building for whole-day schoolingand social events at Stuttgart's Dillmann High School
Author: Michael G. Herwarth
The new Dillmann Auditorium, designed by the architect Michael G. Herwarth, impresses with its clarity of form, sophisticated details and an unusual natural lighting concept. The colour photographs are mostly in large format and show the architecture of the sunken Auditorium’s multi-function hall as well as the, still modern, Dillmann High School complex. Included are architectural plans, design models, 3-D views, the highlights of the student art competition 2006 and additional forewords from Dr Wolfgang Schuster, Michael G. Herwarth, Manfred Birk and Dieter Schmidt. The photography is by Jochen Stueber and Zooey Braun. Concise texts, excellent pictures and an attractive layout make this handsome book a pleasure to read and not only for Dillmann Insiders.
